Kids@Play has a reputation for providing high quality care and education. In recent years due to the extensive training and community knowledge that Kids@Play have highly trained and experienced Educators, along with the Approved Providers in Disability and Additional Needs.

The Approved Providers and the Educators recognise and respond to barriers, so children can achieve educational goals

and success. The service makes curriculum decisions that promote inclusion and participation of all children. The Approved Providers and Educators work in partnership with children, families, communities, other services, and agencies. The approved Provider supports the families in ways and not limited to:

• Attending courses and training with them to support and guide them.

• Assist with taping into funding for the families

• Refer and organise appointments with Allied Health Professionals

It is recognised in the community that the service works intensively with children and work together with parents and allied health professionals to provide the necessary therapy and education for children with additional needs. The Approved Providers believe Inclusion of children with disability in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services benefits everyone.

It is also recognised that children’s attitude improves when an inclusive environment is promoted. Children have developed empathy skills and has reduced discrimination in the classroom. The children no longer look at people in wheelchairs with a strange look, as reported by parents of the children at the service.
